Timothy Lee Wood Jr., 52, of Kathleen, GA passed away peacefully Monday, May 24, 2021 at home. He is the beloved son of Rev. Timothy Lee Wood Sr. and Vivian (Jenkins) Wood. Tim was born on February 15, 1969 in Hartford Connecticut. “Busta” as he was lovingly called by his family, was a lifelong resident of Hebron and Manchester, Connecticut until relocating to Georgia in 2012 to be close to his mother and father.
Timothy joined Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Hartford, CT and was baptized at an early age. After moving to Georgia, he joined New Hope Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Dennis Harden. Tim served faithfully on the Security Ministry.
Tim graduated from RHAM High School in Hebron Connecticut, in 1987. Prior to relocating to Georgia Tim worked for JC Penny for more than 20 years. After moving to Georgia, he worked for the City of Warner Robins Utility Department for 12 years.
Busta was a quiet and kindhearted son, brother, cousin and friend who loved his family. His life spoke for him. Although, he didn’t have much to say, his laughter would fill the room and your hearts. Tim’s stories weren’t always funny, but mom would always laugh just because it was his story. The house would be full of his laughter as he watched the Honeymooners and the Three Stooges, which were two of his favorite shows. Busta was a collector of all things Star Wars and could tell you everything you ever wanted to know about every movie. Not many people knew that Tim was legally blind but he never complained and he stayed independent.
Tim is survived by his brother Jeffery and a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. He is predeceased by his paternal grandparents Jimmie and Bernice (Keaton) Wood and his maternal Grandparents James and Mattie L. (Williams) Jenkins.
The family extends a special thanks to the Warner Robins Paramedics and emergency team. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday June 2, 2021 11 a.m. at Wood Lawn Cemetery, 1601 Sam Nunn Blvd , Perry,GA 31069
