Shep Bass, Jr. was born to the parentage of the late Shep Bass, Sr. and Louise Allen, March 5, 1947. He was predeceased by his wife, Lillie Bell Bass, brothers, Carl Bass, Sr., Hendrick Allen and sister Minnie Bass. He was reared by the late James and Mary Allen as their own and was educated in the Houston County School System. He was employed by Cemex Cement Company until he medically retired. Shep Bass, Jr. was also a dedicated and faithful member of the Bobby E. Glover Mortuary Staff where he assisted families in Middle Georgia for over 30 years as a Funeral Assistant. He joined the Free Providence Baptist Church at an early age where he served faithfully as treasurer, trustee and chairman of the deacon board under the leadership of Pastor David McLeod.
He leaves to cherish his memories his children Malenda Smith, Macon, Georgia, Michael Bass, Rochester, New York, Stephanie Spivey, Perry, Georgia, Tammie Jones, Byron, Georgia, Shelton (Nannette) Bass, Warner Robins, Georgia, Shawn Bass, Stockbridge, Georgia. Siblings: Bernice King, Boynton Beach, Florida, Sarah (Lewis) Harris, Perry, Georgia, Mary Sparks, Hawkinsville, Georgia, John Allen, St. Albans, New York, Silvonia Dyson (Edward) Warner Robins, Georgia, Alberta Barrett (Harry) Garner, North Carolina, Cora Sanders (Isaac) Dallas, Texas, Samuel (Kathy) Allen, Converse, Texas. Twenty-Two grandchildren, Twenty-Two great-grandchildren. Two stepsons, four step grandchildren. A very special family friend, Ms. Geraldine King. A host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
