Carlisle “Jamin” Davis Sr. was born on June 7, 1964 in Perry, Georgia to the parents of Yvonne and John Lee Davis Sr. He was called home on December 14, 2020.
Carlisle graduated from Perry High School in Perry, Georgia with the class of 1982. Thereafter he joined the military in 1983. Shortly after joining the military, he enrolled at Fort Valley State College(FVSC). He received his Bachelor of Science in Animal Science degree in 1989.
In 1985, Carlisle met his soulmate Loretta while they both attended Fort Valley State. For 35 years they shared love and compassion for one another.
Carlisle worked as a Manager with Tyson Foods for 16 years. In the spring of 1985, Carlisle joined the Phi Zeta chapter of Alpha Phi Omega. He enjoyed fishing, listening to Prince music and watching and playing football. He instilled the love of football, values and ethics of the game with his sons and nephews. He was a pillar and dad to many in the community. While in the National Guard, Carlisle received many accolades and awards from the military including: Meritorious Service Medal (2nd Award), Army Commendation Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star, Army Lapel Button, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal w/ Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon (2nd Award), Armed Forces Reserve Medal W/ M Device.
