Larry made his grand entrance into the world on February 12,1953. He was born to the late Mr. Fred D, Bannister, and his wife Mrs. Emma Lou Bannister
A time to live ….
Larry lived an extraordinary life filled with charisma and laughter. He was born via midwife in Perry GA. He matriculated through the Houston County School System graduating class of 1970. He was an amazing athlete excelling in both swim and track which ultimately awarded him a full scholarship to Fort Valley State University where he majored in education, while working as a lifeguard at Creekwood Park.
He was a member of an elite organization The Esquire Brotherhood and was a pillar in his community earning the title of “Jack of all Trades” he was a Culinary artist working on Robins Air Force Base at the NCO Club; while also being a master barber, tailor, carpenter, mechanic, fashion model and loving to all…

Larry was preceded in death by his Father Fred D. Bannister, brother Billy R. Bannister of Boston, MA and Fred Bannister Jr. of Centerville GA as well as his granddaughter Alyssa Jackson and great granddaughter Evyn Renee Singletary of Macon GA
He leaves to remember him: His mother Emma Lou Bannister of Perry, GA, his children Sebastian Jackson, of Macon, GA, Xaviera S. Green (Jason) of Macon, GA Tyheim Bannister of Tampa, Fla Major Lynwood of Warner Robins, GA. His longtime companion Judy Colbert of Warner Robins, GA. His siblings Agnes Killen of Fort Valley, GA, Laverne Friday (Gene) of Warner Robins GA, Charles D. Bannister of Perry, GA, Annette Thompson of Kansas City, MO, Paulette Bannister of Warner Robins. His grandchildren Tyree L. Singletary, Kiani Jackson, Myah Jackson, Alexus J. Green, Jordan O. Green, Ymia Z. Green, Taniya Jazzera Bannister, True Lynwood. His great grandson Jaliel T. Singletary. His Beloved niece Felicia (Bannister) Passley (Keble) a host of dear loved ones especially his beloved King Family, Rozlyn Bigalow, a host of nieces, nephew and plethora of friends. Because Larry never knew a stranger and was loved by so many his loving memories will forever live on.
