Johnnie Mae Kaigler Harding was born on September 13, 1929 to parents Willie Kaigler and Josephine Holmes Kaigler. As a child, Johnnie Mae lived in Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, and lastly, Perry, GA. with her parents and Ruth Nell Kaigler. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Clara Ragin Bryant. She loved the Lord and was a proud member of New Hope Baptist Church. Johnnie Mae attended Houston County Public School, Fort Valley State University, and earned a BS degree in Education. She retired as a teacher from Houston County Board of Education with 32 years of service. She was a Girl Scout Leader, a lifetime member of the Georgia Association of Education and the National Association of Education for 50 years, a member of the Perry Women Society, and a member of the Blooming Roses Club.
Survivors include: Children: Gregory Jones, St Petersburg FL, Ronald Harding Lithonia, GA, Denise Harding, Lithonia, GA, and Vivian Brooks, Warner Robins, GA. Brother: Herman Kaigler. Grandchildren: Paula Thomas, Perry, GA, Pamela Slocum Warner Robins, GA, Cajua Harding, Chattanooga TN, Charmaine Brooks, Boston, MA, Larry Brooks, Warner Robins, GA. Great Grandchildren: Jazmin Thomas, Vincent Thomas, Shazier Lawson, and Myles Slocum. Nieces: Brenda McGhee, April Bryant, and Sonya Bryant Nephews: Johnny Bryant and Barry Kaigler.
