We are deeply sorry for your loss - the staff at Bobby E. Glover Mortuary
Anthony Adams was the first child born to Jack and Dorothy Lee (Frazier) Adams on April 13, 1958. He was born in Passaic, New Jersey. He was soon joined by a sister, Zenobia. In 1965, the family moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where another brother, Jack Casears, was born. The family, subsequently, settled in Decatur, Georgia.
Anthony was baptized, at an early age, at Thankful Baptist Church in Decatur, GA. He attended City of Decatur Schools, including Decatur High School. He met his best friend, Jeffery Hammonds, who became a family friend and was someone Anthony could depend on in a time of need. Throughout his school years, Anthony was known to be a fun-loving person. He later studied at Dekalb Community College.
In May 1984, Anthony married the former Judy Price. To this union, a son and daughter were
born – Mark and Nastasia. Anthony worked as a Service Advisor at Pep Boys and at Stovall. Anthony loved playing football, but had a passion for music. He started playing the violin, but fell in love with the drums. He became a member of the band, First Light, and played and traveled with several bands. Due to health issues, he became disabled later in his life.
On Monday, March 14, 2022, Anthony returned to the loving arms of God. He joins, in eternity, his maternal grandparents, June and Annie Frazier; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Clara Adams; his mother, Dorothy Lee Adams; and his brother Jack Casears (“Sears”) Adams.
He leaves, to cherish his memory: his wife, Judy Adams; his children, Mark Anthony Adams and Nastasia Adams; granddaughter, Amelia K. Adams; father, Jack Adams; sister, Zenobia Adams; half sister, Rose Taylor; and a host of other family and friends.
