Lawana was born in Fort Valley, Georgia on November 29, 1966 to the parentage of Dianne Chatman Keen and Willie George Lawson. She was a 1986 graduate of Perry High School. She later moved to Atlanta, Georgia. Lawana took the role of being a mother while employed as a customer service representative and operator of a local cleaner. She also provided child care assistance for working families. Her interest included spending time with family and friends, sewing, and enjoying a good laugh. Her laughter and smile could lighten any moment.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Mark Mann, and brother, Carlos Lawson, Jr.
Lawana leaves to cherish her memories, her son Marterius "Tre" Lawson,step-father Benjamin Keen, brothers Gregory (Monique) Lawson, Shavoye Lawson, Arra Lawson, and Travis Lawson; two grandsons, Ny"Jalen Lawson and Jordan Lawson,and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
