Mr. Groverditia Cortez Felder was born in Perry, Georgia on January 7, 1973 to Katherine Rowland. He attended the public schools of Houston County and was a member of the Perry High School Class of 1992.
He was a freelance construction worker who was known by many as "Derek". He accepted Christ at an early age and attended Shiloh Baptist Church. He loved to laugh, loved his family and spending time with friends.
Derek gained his wings on July 8, 2019. We know to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, John Cooper McGhee, Jr.
Left to cherish his memory are his children Ja'Kesia Felder, Tyree Singletary, and Kaderius Felder; grandchildren Alanna Felder, Kaelyn Hair, Jaleil Singletary; mother Katherine Rowland; siblings Shawanda Nelson, grandparents Pauline Rumph, aunts and uncles Alma Felder, Wylene Sutton, Mattie McGhee, Shirley Forchion, Laverne (James) Harvey, Connie Smith, Roy (Yvonne) McGhee, Charles (Colleen) McGhee, Eddie Felder, Dale (Marisol) Felder, and Tony Rumph, devoted great aunt, Marie McGhee; nephew Kaden Nelson and a host of other relatives and friends including a special family friend Larzarnia Adkison.
