Durand Tywon Felder was born in Houston County, Georgia on July 6, 1979 to Katie M. and Sam Felder, Jr. He attended school in Houston County, Georgia and attended Spring Creek Baptist Church at an early age. He worked with Houston County Board of Commission for 11 years prior to pursuing a career in trucking with Swift Transportation. While with Swift Transportation, he had the opportunity to travel 48 states which was his lifelong dream. Durand kept the faith; he fought a good fight and was called by his loving father on December 31, 2017, to receive his crown and mansion on high.
He was a devoted son, father, companion, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He will be greatly missed by each and every one of them. He leaves to mourn his devoted parents Sam Felder, Jr. and Katie M. (Singletary) Felder of Perry, Georgia, a devoted companion, Meyoshia Kenyona Richardson of Perry, Georgia, 3 sons Dakarai Felder, Adarius Felder, and Devin Dugger, 1 daughter Michala Lane, all of Perry, Georgia, a brother Jarvis Felder (Keiwanna) of Warner Robins, Georgia, 2 sisters Katina Davis (Donte) and Phornecia Stripling both of Perry, Georgia and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Devoted friends Dowayn McFatten, Jerome King, King Lundy, DennardToomer and the Creekwood families who will miss him forever.
