A time to be born: Dorothy A. Singletary Searcy was born July 2, 1956 to the late William and Ollie Jewel Singletary in Pulaski County She was proceeded in death by her brothers Willie Singletary, Eddie J. Singletary, Arthur C. Singletary, and her sister-in-law Helen L. Singletary.
Life’s Achievements along the way: She matriculated through the Houston County School System, and graduated class of 1973 from Roxbury High School in Boston Massachusetts. She attended college at Crandall University with an emphasis in Business Administration. She proceeded to have a flourishing career as an Executive Claim Processor for Aetna Insurance Company. She married at an early age Mr. Henry F. Searcy and they traveled and enjoyed a full life together serving faithfully at Faith Bible Fellowship Church until they found separate roads. Her path led her to achieve great acumen and success in the Kingdom of God partnering in ministry with her late sister-in-law Barbara Jordan, coordinating missions for The Beacon of Light Outreach Ministry. She served faithfully at Greater Union Baptist Church in the Christian Education Department and for various stents she acted as Superintendent of Sunday School while partnering with her children in ministry under the umbrella of Loving People by Sharing Christ and The Ambassador’s Hour, leading a plethora of people to Christ including but not limited to her late friend Diane Lowe and they fellowshipped along with her late friend Ethelyn Faye Clerkly-Harden and they each accomplished their life’s missions as being beacons of light.
A time to Leave: Dot Searcy kept the faith; she fought a good fight and was called by her loving father on January 29, 2018, to receive her crown and mansion on high. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be greatly missed by each and every one of them.

Rogers all of Perry GA;18 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; her three devoted sisters Rosetta Singletary-Jackson (Henry) of Marietta GA, Katie Singletary-Felder (Sam) of Perry GA, Denese Singletary-Davis (Glen) of Lizella GA, one brother Andre Singletary (Denise) of Perry, GA one sister-in-law Yvette G. Singletary of Perry GA, a God-Sister Vivian Thomas of Fort Valley GA, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including but not limited to a few of her special friends Min. Gwen Foster, Lottie Rogers, Geraldine Green, Elaine Griggs and Min. Sharon Ezell.
