Christine Head was born on December 17, 1928 in Perry, Georgia to the late Ike Ivory and Lizzie King. Christine affectionately known as "Money" was the second oldest of eleven children. She was born and reared in Perry, Georgia. She was educated in the Houston County Training School System. At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savour and was baptized. She joined Mount Nebo Primitive Baptist Church serving as a faithful member until her health prevented her attendance. She moved to Warner Robins in 1957, where she was employed by Robins Air Force Base and later retired from Houston County Medical Center after thirty-five years of dedicated service. Money was a kind, caring , loving, and affectionate person with a great sense of humor.
On June 17, 2018, Money peacefully transitioned into the arms of the Lord. The power and the strength of her love was special to those who knew her. The dear face for the face for the sight of which we hunger, shall look on us again. The voice that has this world so tuneless, shall once bless our ears. We shall see our love one and be with her forevermore.
She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons Frankie King and Little Wash King, seven siblings Henry King, Emmett King, Sam King, Richard King, Willie B. King, Onnie King, and one sister Florine Pittman.
She leaves to cherish her precious memories, a very devoted granddaughter Amy King, four daughters Americus (Randy) Wootson, Pauline (MB) Solomon, Patricia Rumph, and Shannon Plant , all of Warner Robins , Georgia; one son Charles (Iris) King; three sisters Martha King, Willie Bell Scott, Elizabeth Davis, all of Warner Robins, Georgia; one brother Charles King of Maryland; two daughter-in-laws Edna King of Warner Robins, Georgia and Lola King of Moreno Valley, California, a devoted niece Clestine Harley, 31 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
