Barbara, affectionately known as "Bop," was born to Cyrus and Ellen Milton on October 24, 1954.
Barbara graduated from Perry High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Fort Valley State College. She sowed seeds of knowledge into her students for over 30 years in the Dade County School System. She continued her education at Grand Canyon University where she received a Master's degree in Special Education and a second Master's in Curriculum and Instruction: Reading.
She regularly attended Second Baptist Church in Miami, Florida. Her spirit of giving was extended to her husband, son, siblings, nieces, and nephews, who were the joys in her life.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus and Ellen Milton; her brothers, James Douglas and Kenneth Cyrus; her brothers-in-law, Willie C. Davis Jr. and Melvin Thomas; and her sister-in-law, Linda Milton.
Those left to celebrate her life are, her husband of 26 years: Charlie "Max" Mobley; one son: Telvin Mobley; her siblings: Mary Kathrine Thomas, Maxine Davis, Anthony Milton, Larry Holmes, Linda Faye Lewis and Jerome Robinson; nieces and nephews: Dr. Deshonda "Deek" (John) Stringer, Orenda Davis-Jackson (Edric), Garvin Davis, Marlin Milton, Marcus Thomas, Melanie Milton, Marilyn Milton and Miles (Sarah) Thomas; great nieces and nephews: Norman Stringer, Dexter "Dre'on" Hooks, Shondraya Stringer, Shamyla Davis, Giah Davis, Garvin Davis III, Michael Duque Jr., Jasmine Moss-Solomon, Davis C. Jackson, Alyssa Thomas, Jasmine Moss-Solomon, Thomas and Elijah Thomas; aunts: Yvonne "Wheeler, Mary F. Brown, Nettie Kaigler, Louise McCray and Ollie Milton. She, also has a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
