Howard Stokeling entered into rest on Sunday, May 28, 2017. He was born on November 9, 1934 to Luke Stokeling and Golla Smith Stokeling in Bonaire, Georgia. He was the fourth of 13 children.
Howard served in the United States Army from 1952-1955. He was an entrepreneur and loved to travel. He was a man who was strong in his faith. He was adamant in family values and enjoyed gospel music and teaching the scriptures. He had a great love for his family and always loved everyone's children. He always opened his home to any family member or person in need. He was a great story teller of folk tales. He always tried to teach morals and values. He was a good cook and his specialty was "Cheese and Eggs". If you ever came in the presence of Howard Stokeling, he did not let you walk away without giving you wisdom, knowledge and understanding about God and life.

Grandchildren: Gene Freeman, Jr. (Flora); Tanjania Johnson (Herb); David Cunningham; Amber Muldrow; Johnny Muldrow; Domonique Muldrow and Xavier Muldrow. Great Grandchildren: Tatiyanah, Deavon, Tamia, Noah, Gene the III. Siblings: Melvin Stokeling of Richmond, Virginia; Annie Grace (George) of Perry, Georgia; Christine Walker (Billy) of Perry, Georgia; Lavern Ball (Charles) of Codele, Georgia; James R. Stokeling of Hephzibah, Georgia; Eugene Stokeling (Denise) of Perry, Georgia; India McKenzie of Perry, Georgia; and Tommsena Solomon (Bruce) of Perry, George. A host of other relatives and friends.
