Ella Mae Harrell was born on November 22, 1941 to the late Ruth Oliver and Eddie Henry Thomas.  She departed this life on Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Perry Hospital. Ella attended Public Schools in Houston County.  She joined the Shiloh Baptist Church in Elko, Georgia at an early age.  

She was employed at Kellwood for years and later at Quincy and Shoney’s until her health failed. She was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Thomas; two sisters, Patricia Thomas and Geraldine Harrell.

Her life will forever be cherished as the morning’s first light to the evening last star. She will always be remembered as a special star.  She leaves to cherish her memories: George Harris of Perry, GA; sisters Vera Hicks of Tampa, FL and Shirley Thomas of Perry, GA; brothers: Dean Oliver of Tampa, FL, Walter Thomas of Perry, GA, Eddie Thomas of Elko, GA; 9 grandchildren; 11 great -grandchildren; 3 devoted cousins: Gloria Oliver and Mattie Oliver both of Elko, GA and Velma Duncan of Warner Robins, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends .
