Bruce Jerome Kendrick was born February 1, 1965 to the parentage of the late Willie Kendrick, Sr. and Rosa Mae Kendrick of Houston County. At an early age, he gave his life to Christ and joined Davis Chapel A.M.E. church in Henderson, Georgia. In 1989, he moved his membership to Old Mount Zion Baptist Church which later became New Mount Zion Community Church in Hawkinsville, Georgia. He served as Chairman of the Deacon Board., played bass guitar and served as a faithful and dedicated member of the choir. He was a member of the Gospel Angels where he played bass guitar until the group was dissolved in 1991. Brother Bruce Kendrick obtained his education in the public schools of Houston County and was a graduate of the Class of 1984. He was employed as production machine operator for Frito Lay for 20 years. He was married for 27 years.
Bruce Jerome Kendrick expired this life on Saturday, August 19, 2017 when he was called from his earthly home to his heavenly home in Houston Medical Center. Preceding him in death was his father, Willie Lee Kendrick, Sr. and brothers Terry Benjamin Kendrick, Randy Kendrick, and sisters, Nellie B. Rucker, Bobby Jean Kendrick and Jennifer Barner.
Left to cherish his memories are mother, Mrs. Rosa M. Kendrick of Henderson, GA. wife, Beverly Kendrick of Perry, GA, Daughters Jessica (Anthony) Jones, Whiteman AFB, MO, Shakita G. Kendrick, Warner Robins, Ga, Ambrose J. Kendrick, Savannah Ga, Willie Mae (Lee Taylor Sr.) Marshallville, GA, Robert Lee Kendrick, Warner Robins, GA, Willie Lee Kendrick, Jr. Perry, GA. La Constance (Edward) Kinchen, Elko, GA, Leroy (Patricia) Kendrick, Warner Robins, GA, Dollie (Clerance) Williams, Warner Robins, GA, A host of neices, nephews, granddaughter Aiyana A. Stripling, Two grandsons, Joshua A. Jones, Jayceon Singletary; Aunts-Uncles Bulter C. Retha Kendrick, Sam "Ray" (Susie) Kendrick, Mitchell (Della Mae) Worthy, Pearline Lee; several cousins , other relatives, and friends.
